Whenever I go on a trip, whether it is for work or a holiday, the last thing I want to worry about is the keys. I already have to ensure that my own house keys remain safe (and by that I mean not losing them along the way to the airport). So why worry about another set? AirBolt has the design and technology so I don’t have to.
What's so special about it?
AirBolt has been specifically designed for travellers. It provides a stress-free and simple way to secure your bags and luggage. By using Bluetooth technology, you can access the smart lock through your smartphone. Sharing that one piece of luggage with your significant other? Well, then you can easily share access with anyone you need to. This means no more asking who has the keys to the luggage and no more going into panic mode trying to frantically locate them. Essentially, it’s no more keys and no more combinations, meaning no more worry.
So, the next question undoubtedly is, what about battery life? I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be constantly charging it or changing batteries every time I am about to head out. Plus, if you’re like me, it can be months between trips whilst at other times, it feels like I am hardly ever at home. The good news is that the AirBolt has a rechargeable lithium battery. Basically, it can be anywhere from 6 months to 1 year before it needs recharging. All you need is a standard micro USB cable. The added bonus is that your AirBolt app will notify you of how much battery you have left in your lock.
TSA Approved = Take it ANYWHERE in the world
Whenever you travel via the USA or within the USA, you are required to have a TSA approved lock. By having one of these locks, TSA agents in US airports can easily open these up with a TSA master key. In this way, they don’t cause any damage to your lock. When TS agents access the lock, it is then recorded in your history. See the screenshot from the log below. Without one, they can simply cut the lock open. All this unnecessary effort to simply inspect through the contents in your luggage. Thereby, leaves your luggage exposed to potential theft by anybody else.
What makes AirBolt so unique is you can disable the TSA access when it's not needed. All it takes is a simple tap on the app and it’s done. One tip: Don’t make the costly mistake of forgetting to enable it when travelling through any US airport. You wouldn’t want to get your luggage back with the broken lock. But otherwise, this is an awesome feature to use when you need to leave your bags or luggage at the hotel.

Button chime. Let’s you know when you have successfully pressed the left/right button (choose a pattern) to manually unlock. It uses a single tone, so no one can listen in and tell which button you are pressing.
Lightweight. Weighing a measly 60 grams and with a diameter of 55mm, AirBolt fits comfortably in your pocket when not in use.
The AirBolt is certainly a great little gem to have on your bags and luggage. With every other expensive lock available in the marketplace, if it doesn’t contain the TSA approved mechanism, then at times it can become a bit useless. I mean, would you buy one lock with the TSA logo and one without it?
